After a loss where nothing went right for the Cowboys, everything is going their way so far against the Falcons. Dallas is leading with an incredible 36-3 halftime score in their Week 10 matchup with Atlanta.
Dak Prescott’s already thrown for over 219 yards and hit CeeDee Lamb twice for touchdowns. Lamb has six catches for 94 yards to go along with the two scores.
Ezekiel Elliott has also found pay dirt twice despite only having 28 rushing yards on 11 carries. Zeke has made some big plays in pass protection to help the offense, including one on first TD pass between Dak and CeeDee.
Just before halftime, Dorance Armstrong blocked a punt that was knocked back into the endzone recovered by rookie Nahshon Wright for a fifth score. Elliott punched in a 2-point conversion to give Dallas it’s last two points of the half.
Armstrong, playing a bigger role with Randy Gregory out, also added a sack and another pressure in a strong half. Micah Parsons chipped in his sixth sack of the year, plus Jourdan Lewis had made several nice plays in coverage.
After moving well on their first possession but failing to convert on 4th Down, Atlanta’s offense has been almost complete shut down the rest of the way.
The Cowboys have already made their big statement after last week’s flop against Denver. We’ll see if they keep the heat up in the second half.
