Week 4 Changes Dallas Cowboys Should Stick With Moving Forward

Whether true or not, it seems as if the Dallas Cowboys have been sitting on their hands through the first four weeks of the 2020 season. We really haven’t seen many noticeable changes or adjustments, but there were a few in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns they should seriously consider sticking with moving forward.

I’m probably pointing out the obvious, but there were a few minor changes made last week that I believe could benefit the Dallas Cowboys as the season progresses. There are of course other moves I would like them to make both internally and externally, but that’s a topic for discussion best saved for another time. For today, let’s take a look at the changes I hope they stick with moving forward…

C Tyler Biadasz

Joe Looney’s unfortunate knee injury will likely sideline him for several weeks and quite possibly land him on injured reserve. Fortunately, Tyler Biadasz stepped in for him as the starting center and didn’t miss a beat. The Dallas Cowboys don’t have many options besides Biadasz, but thankfully they don’t need any. He played just as well as Looney, if not better. This is one minor change the Cowboys shouldn’t have to worry about moving forward. He should anchor the middle of the offensive line for years to come.

RT Brandon Knight

Hopefully the Dallas Cowboys have put an end to the Terance Steele experiment as their starting right tackle this season. In time and with more development he could turn into a starting caliber player, but he’s unfortunately a liability right now. Thankfully though Brandon Knight proved he’s more than capable of handling the job. He may not be La’el Collins good, but he’s the best option the Cowboys have right now. He filled in well at LT as an injury replacement for Tyron Smith and will now need to do the same at RT for Collins.

S Donovan Wilson

Donovan Wilson replaced Darian Thompson early in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns and ended up playing 93.3% of the defensive snaps. There’s no way of knowing if the Dallas Cowboys will stick with Wilson as the starter opposite Xavier Woods or not, but I believe he deserves the opportunity considering the way Thompson has played this season. This is one change I’ve been hoping for for a while now and one I hope continues until he proves he’s not up to the job. Unless the Cowboys sign someone this week, I fully expect to see Donovan Wilson remain the starter.
