What would a loss against the Vikings mean for Dak Prescott

This year has been Rocky for Quarterback Dak Prescott. After a week one loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he suffered a five-week thumb injury that didn’t help his career at all. While out, a QB controversy occurred between Quarterback Cooper Rush and Dak.

This controversy would frighten fans and Dak himself at the thought of him being replaced. While that didn’t happen, some people think it was close. If Dak Prescott loses against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, he will be 2-2 as a starting QB this year, while Cooper will be 4-1 as a starter.

Enough about that though, we don’t want another “Civil War” between Cowboy fans. However, something odd has been occurring. After the Green Bay Packers loss last week, many fans are referring to Dak as the main problem for the team.

Is this next upcoming game more important for Dak Prescott than most may think? It appears that way. To me, it seems that Dak is starting to worry that he will have more fans against him soon. This is always scary for a quarterback because as the leader of the team you must also be the face of it.

Having the Cowboy community against you is never a good sign, and if the Cowboys end up with a 6-4 record after Sunday, Dak will be in big trouble. But what would the Dallas Coaching staff do? Replace him? No, that won’t happen, even if he plays badly they won’t be taking out Dak. However, that doesn’t mean he won’t be in trouble.

The press will go after Dak and have more evidence on why he’s at fault for the Cowboys’ losses. With that slander, it will put lots of pressure on the Coaching staff, players, and the entire Cowboy community as a whole. This can result in a total landslide for the Dallas Cowboys. It may be hard for the Cowboys to recover after something like this.

Back to Dak though. To avoid this, Prescott and the Cowboys must win this Sunday. A 7-3 record looks a lot better than a 6-4. This game may be the most important game for the Cowboys all season (besides the postseason). They must work hard these next few weeks.

Not only would a loss put Dak Prescott in a pickle, but the Cowboys’ season itself will be in major jeopardy. You won’t be able to get into the playoffs with losses against PLAYOFF teams. Last season this was a problem for the Cowboys as well, they only beat the bad teams and lost to the teams that made it into the playoffs.

This game against the Vikings is both critical to Dak Prescott’s Career and the Dallas Cowboys’ season. Let’s hope the Cowboys are ready for a tough battle up in Minnesota.
