The Dallas Cowboys (4-2) welcome the Detroit Lions (1-4) into Jerry World in week seven and will look to bounce back from their week six loss to the Philadelphia Eagles (6-0). Since week one, the most notable name on the injury report has been quarterback Dak Prescott. While the team has won without him in the lineup, there is no doubt not only Prescott wanted to play, but many fans were eager to see him return.
Well, come Sunday afternoon — fans and Prescott should be happy, as he’s projected to play.
#Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (right thumb) is off the injury report.
So, it's official: Dak's back.

His return should provide a massive boost to the offense that hasn’t played up to par yet, but it will be interesting to see how he looks after not playing any games since week one.
Dallas Cowboys
Besides Prescott jumping off the injury report, this game will showcase a fully healthy Cowboys squad, as they have gone through multiple games with injuries across the board this season.
While the team did announce on Friday that Tackle Matt Waletzko is undergoing season-ending surgery and getting put on injured reserve, his absence isn’t making or breaking their season, but we’re hoping for a full recovery.
Here are the players that began the week on the injury report but were able to log full practice sessions and are expected to play on Sunday:
- DT Quinton Bohanna
- DT Neville Gallimore
- LB Devin Harper
- WR CeeDee Lamb
- T Jason Peters
- TE Dalton Schultz
Detroit Lions
On the Lions’ side, they are filled with several injuries and could be without their starting running back and one of their starting wideouts. Like the Cowboys, they have faced several injuries in previous weeks.
While injuries occur with every team, it’s difficult to compete with other teams without your best players. So with that in mind, it may look like a different ball game on Sunday if the Lions’ best playmakers aren’t on the field.
Here are the players who are either in, out, or listed as questionable for the Lions:
- T Taylor Decker (personal)– IN
- C Frank Ragnow (foot)– IN
- WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle)– IN
- WR DJ Chark (ankle)– OUT
- DE Charles Harris (groin)– OUT
- S Ifeatu Melifonwu (ankle)– OUT
- T Matt Nelson (calf)– OUT
- CB Bobby Price (knee)– OUT
- LB Chris Board (knee)– Questionable
- DL John Cominsky (wrist)– Questionable
- CB Will Harris (hip)– Questionable
- WR Josh Reynolds (knee)– Questionable
- D’Andre Swift (ankle/shoulder)– Questionable
Besides the injuries popping up more on the Lions’ side, expect an exciting game. Prescott is back. The Cowboys are at home. Both offenses can score at will. And former Quarterback Tony Romo is one of the commentators for the game. Be ready to feel a mix of emotions on Sunday, but if the Cowboys weren’t stressing you out, you can’t call yourself a true fan.
