Will the Cowboys defense keep dominating?

By now, everyone knows that the Dallas Cowboys have one of the (if not the best) defenses in the entire NFL. While the Cowboys’ defense has been amazing for this first half of the season, a question can emerge in fans’ heads. Will the success of the defense continue throughout the rest of the season?

To find the answer to our question, we’ll have to take a look at a couple of things, such as the Cowboys’ remaining schedule, important players, and Offensive Coordinator Dan Quinn. These will be key factors in determining if the team will uphold its skills.

The Cowboys still have nine games to play until the season ends. However, the strength of the schedule has decreased heavily as we enter the second half of the season. This is great evidence that the Cowboys’ defense will stride to be even greater than it is now.

Their toughest upcoming opponents are the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles. After reviewing the schedule, I feel that these two teams will be the most challenging for our defense to overcome. Every other team on the schedule is rather weak at scoring.

I can also add the Giants to the list of teams to beware of, but after the win against them in week three, I think they’ll have it in the bag. Now it’s time to talk about some key players that can (and have been) benefit the Cowboys’ unmovable defense.

One player I can’t ever ignore is Micah Parsons. This man is on pace to earn defensive player of the Year. With two forced fumbles, eight sacks, and 36 tackles, this man is a beast when he’s in the mood to hit the QB.

Demarcus Lawrence is another great defender. He has forced one fumble and four total sacks. Without either of these players, the team seems that would crumble. I could name other great stars like Armstrong or Diggs, but these two are “bash bros” who need each other for the team to work.

A final factor to observe is Dan Quinn. This man is a defensive genius. He’s turned a football team that has been known to have amazing offenses and made them into a powerhouse for defense.

Dan deserves a lot of credit for how this team has performed so far. I think Dan is a great guy who just wanted to win games and do anything to make a win happen.

So to answer the question, yes, the Cowboys shouldn’t have any issues with the team they will be playing in their upcoming schedule. If anything, the defense should get even better and clamp down on making sure their defenders stay healthy with no injuries.
