Will the New York Giants be a threat to the Dallas Cowboys this season?

Last year a surprising team emerged from the bottom of the barrel. The New York Giants had a great season with a 9-7-1 record to cap off the year, not to mention a Wild Card win against the Minnesota Vikings.

The Dallas Cowboys have won nine out of the last 10 games against the Giants and have dominated them in almost every game.

Will that streak continue?

For the first time in a while, it’s tough to say.

With the new hire of Head Coach Brian Daboll, the Giants are looking like a scary team to play next season.

It’s strange how a simple coach has turned the team around in his first year there. Not to mention he made Quarterback Daniel Jones look like a “good” quarterback overall.

Daboll is a very smart coach and I always see him talking with his players on the sideline about what to do and what not to do.

He isn’t a normal coach that just stands around and calls plays; he’s a leader to his players and knows how to control their talents and abilities.

While the Cowboys are projected to be a favorite to win the NFC East this year, there are still a lot of flaws and hurdles that the Cowboys have at the moment.

This is what makes the Giants look so scary. They are definitely a wild card team and can beat you when you’re not looking with ease.

The winning streak against the Giants can’t last forever, and sooner or later the Cowboys will suffer a defeat to them. The Giants will also be very motivated this season because of all the recent contracts they made. There will be plenty of hype around New York this year.

Forget about the hype though, what about the talent?

We know that the Cowboys still outnumber the Giants with talent. The Cowboys’ defensive backs, cornerbacks, wide receivers, and heck, even our offensive line is better than theirs.

Sometimes, however, it is not about talent. Sometimes it’s about brains.

This takes us back to the head coaches.

Brian Daboll is a much smarter coach than Mike McCarthy. I know, it’s a very bold statement, and many fans would choose to disagree on that matter, but the truth is there.

Daboll is taking a team with barely any skill and talent and is turning them into a dangerous franchise, while McCarthy is taking a team with extreme talent and is struggling to win a playoff game.

The evidence is there, Daboll is just better.

That is the main reason that the Cowboys could struggle with the Giants this year, leadership. The coaching of the Cowboys could ruin this season for them. Meanwhile, the Giants will succeed.

The Giants also don’t have too tough of a schedule next season, meanwhile, the Cowboys will be playing teams who are Super Bowl favorites like the Buffalo Bills.

The leadership needs to change for Dallas this season, or we will be going down into a hole that will be hard to crawl out of.

I think the Giants will have a very successful season this year and will make a huge mark on everyone’s record.
