With 58th Pick, Dallas Cowboys Draft DT Trysten Hill

The Dallas Cowboys have finally joined the 2019 NFL Draft after sitting on the sidelines during the first round. With the 58th pick, the Dallas Cowboys have selected Defensive Tackle Trysten Hill, from UCF.

The Cowboys got very lucky on the second round, seeing many valuable prospects available when they finally were on the clock. They could’ve drafted just about any position and gotten a quality player.

Trysten Hill is a great three-technique that will likely become a starting player right away for the Cowboys. He will arrive to a defensive line that has added some depth in free agency.

A surprising amount of great players were available throughout most of the second round, and the Cowboys managed to take advantage of it. A handful of defensive tackles were selected in the first round, so finding Trysten Hill at #58 was surely fortunate for Dallas. This is a position in which the Cowboys wouldn’t have found similar talent in later rounds.

The Cowboys will be on the clock once again in the third round at pick #91, and with a couple of fourth round picks, moving up should be an option to get a safety. Plenty are still available at the moment, including Juan Thornhill, Taylor Rapp and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

I love to write, I love football and I love the Dallas Cowboys. I've been rooting for America's team all the way from Mexico ever since I can remember. If you want to talk football, I'm in... You'll find me at @MauNFL.
